About Me
My name is James Edward Lewis, and I’m a 41-year-old theatre enthusiast with a passion for creativity, accessibility, and storytelling. For as long as I can remember, the world of theatre has been a constant source of inspiration—whether it’s the thrill of live performances, the intricate details behind the scenes, or the community that brings it all to life.
I currently work Front of House at a vibrant Off-West End theatre in London, where I have the privilege of welcoming audiences and ensuring their experience is as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Beyond my professional work, I also volunteer at one of the UK’s most iconic theatres, where I contribute my time to support the magic of live performances and make theatre accessible to everyone.
I live with neurofibromatosis, a genetic condition that affects the nervous system and can cause the growth of benign tumours. While it presents its challenges, it’s also a part of who I am, and it has shaped my deep understanding of accessibility and inclusion in all areas of life—especially in the arts.
But my passion doesn’t stop at the stage. Outside of the theatre world, I’m deeply interested in technology—particularly in building apps that combine fun, learning, and inclusivity. I’ve developed quiz apps and other innovative projects that aim to engage and entertain people from all walks of life. Whether it’s creating engaging user experiences or exploring new ideas that push the boundaries of what’s possible, I’m always eager to learn, build, and make a positive impact.
In everything I do, from the theatre to technology, my goal is simple: to connect with people, share stories, and create something meaningful that brings joy, knowledge, and accessibility to the world.
